So this weeks challenge from Ky was to go watch or think about your favorite artist and what techniques they have taught you that you love. Then pretty much do it. :) Well as for myself and many others Paula Phillips has got to me my favorite artist to learn from. She is not only a fun teacher but she is so humble in her art and her lessons. She goes out of her way to be transparent and to form relationships with all of us who come out and watch her. (I am watching her right now and she said "tonight its learn along with journalartista" LOL translation = I have no idea what I am doing. I love her. Oh boy now she is talking about not shaking something and rotten eggs and bad news all in the same sentence. Yikes!) Anyways...here is my challenge. Its my weight loss journal cover. (LOL take two she says) I am actually calling it my rewryt lyf journal and yes its spelled wrong on purpose. I am dedicating it to well...rewriting my life. I have always been told well Melissa your whole family is big and maybe that's something you just have to accept are realize that its just how you were created. Bull! I am not saying that obesity is not in your DNA but overeating, fast food eating, over indulging and laziness are NOT! So here I am :\ about to put it all out there for all my 10 blog readers to read LOL. My starting weight on 7/14/10 was 295 as of today, 9/11/10 my weight is 269. Thanks to an amazing God and nutritionist and well my will power I am rewriting my so called fate. I hope you all enjoy it and I hope that all of you over weight or not will join Paula and I as we change our lives and become healthier and healthier. Thanks to Paula I now have a journal cover, lots of layers, metal accents, strung beads and my very first window. (again she has been heating her page forever now with the gun and she says "ow that's hot" hee hee she is so cute) God bless you guys and thanks for reading.
PS look who is working in the window :)) I almost forgot to add that the colors on this cover were given to me by the ladies that were hanging out in Ky's informal chat last night. Ky = Blue, Dale = Green, Kerri = Orange, Paula = Yellow, Myself = Pinkish Purple :) thanks ladies it really helped me "dance" outside of my box
